A Stoner Guy post.
Someone asks you a simple question at work, "are you free Thursday?", and you spend a full ten seconds wondering whether any of us are truly free. You say "probably". The meeting is still booked. You look at your own hand in the dark and realise it has been doing everything for you your whole life. You say thank you out loud. It's gone quiet at the table. Someone passes the crisps. Mid-shower, you decide your thumb is just a short finger that got promoted. You can't find a way to bring this up at breakfast without sounding like you've had a very strange night. The kettle boils and you realise you've been standing there for four minutes with an empty mug, wondering if the word "sandwich" has always been this funny. You make the tea anyway. It's good tea. **Why it caught on:** the picture shows a young man with heavy-lidded, half-closed eyes and a lazy smile, leaning back as if he's about to agree with anything. People captioned it with shallow thoughts delivered as if they were deep, such as "the eyes are the windows to the house". It spread because everyone has had a thought that felt profound at the time and was, on inspection, just a thing about knees.
