You might be amazed to hear this, but in real life, Rasputin was not an undead lich with satanic powers. He was a perfectly ordinary self-proclaimed holy man obsessed with The Bible. All he did was heal a little hemophiliac. Then he got shot twice, wrapped in a blanket, and dumped into the river. That's it. He was a real human being, don't start doing to him what's already been done to Ba'al.

To be clear on the Ba'al thing, he went from "a god that is not Yahweh" to "false idol" to "evil deceptive demon" to "yet another name for Satan". It's like a big fish story, except instead of the size being exaggerated every time, it's the amount of evil being exaggerated. It started sort of like "this god we don't like" and then escalated until it became "the fucking embodiment of evil". When that's done to a fictional character it's harmless enough, but please don't do it to a person who actually existed.
